The Threshold Maximizer is BAE’s take on the 1986 “Version 3-B” ProCo Rat. Numerous versions of this circuit were examined, as well as vintage and newer variations. The Threshold M aximizer uses the LM308 op amp chip, which offers more headroom, smoother EQ sweep, and a cleaner noise floor than the original. This pedal rips, and it is guaranteed to melt faces!
