In this lecture-style class, the instructor will guide you off the hamster wheel of fast fashion and through the possibilities of the thrifted garment world. You’ll leave with a plethora of practical tips sourced from the longtime thrifters of Wyldwood and the confidence to set out on your own garment thrifting journey. In this course we'll go over: Choosing suitable candidates for a variety of projects Skills required to mend, resources to support learning Planning garment thrifting projects Common tools and supplies used in garment restoration and repair Types of mending Class Duration: 2 hours Students Bring: Students are encouraged to bring their own notebook and pen for taking notes.
