Meet Thrill – The Excitement Mood Muncher! 🎆 Bring excitement to life with Thrill! Meet Thrill — the Mood Muncher who helps children understand the excitement feeling. Paired with the beautifully illustrated storybook Thrill and the Firework Feeling, this engaging set gives children a fun and memorable way to recognise, talk about and manage those BIG feelings that come with excitement. From the anticipation of a school trip or birthday to the buzz before a performance, competition or new experience, Thrill helps children put words and understanding around what is happening inside them. A soft toy they can hold.A story they can relate to.A language they can use.A tool adults can use to support meaningful conversations about emotions. 🎆 When Thrill comes to visit... Children learn that excitement is simply a feeling visiting them. Thrill might arrive before a birthday, school trip, performance, competition, party or something completely new. Rather than thinking: “I’m too excited!” children can begin to say: “Thrill is visiting me!” This simple language creates space to notice the feeling, talk about it and choose how to respond. 💛 A valuable resource for families Thrill provides parents and carers with an easy way to start conversations about emotions. Use the storybook and soft toy together to explore: ✨ What does excitement feel like in my body?✨ When does Thrill come to visit me?✨ Can excitement sometimes feel like nervousness?✨ What can I do when my feelings feel BIG?✨ How can I enjoy excitement without letting it take over? It’s a wonderful resource for bedtime conversations, emotional check-ins and everyday opportunities to build emotional literacy. 🏫 Ideal for schools Thrill is a practical addition to PSHE, emotional wellbeing, SEL and pastoral learning. Teachers and support staff can use Thrill and the storybook to help children: • identify and name excitement• develop emotional vocabulary• recognise body signals• understand that all emotions are OK• practise pausing and regulating• respond rather than react• develop a shared language for talking about feelings Thrill can be used with Early Years through primary-aged children, in whole-class lessons, small groups or one-to-one support. 👩⚕️ Helpful for health and wellbeing professionals For professionals supporting children and families, Mood Munchers provide a child-friendly, visual and engaging way to explore emotions. Thrill can support conversations around emotional regulation, anxiety, transitions, new experiences and situations where excitement and nervousness overlap. Using a character helps children talk about what is happening inside them without feeling that the emotion is who they are. 🌈 More than a toy Thrill is part of the Mood Munchers approach: We are not our thoughts or our emotions. Emotions are visitors. They come, they are felt, they give us information and, with the right support, they can move on. By giving excitement a name and a friendly face, children can begin to understand their feelings rather than feeling overwhelmed by them. 🎆 Bring Thrill to your setting Thrill the Excitement Mood Muncher + Thrill and the Firework Feeling make a powerful pairing for helping children understand excitement, recognise what is happening in their bodies and develop lifelong emotional literacy skills.
