The standard platform is perfectly capable of carrying the Arcos Box and costs substantially less. What the Tilt Platform buys you is convenience every time the system is installed: easier hitch attachment, hand-operated rear-access tilting and the ability to fold the platform vertically when the cargo box is removed. None of those features adds cargo capacity. They simply make the Arcos easier to live with.
