“Thunder Road” is a departure from my usual composition, but my photograph of a ZR-1 in Colorado convinced me to create a major work with a focus on certain details rather than a c omplete car. The lighting and reflections were too perfect to pass up. The title recalls the 1950’s movie as well as a Bruce Springsteen tune, implying that no Corvette creates Thunder like a ZR-1. Show more
