DJ Candlestick and OG Ron C originally chopped & screwed chopped-not-slopped Thundercat's epic 2017 effort pro bono, out of sheer love for the record, and 'Cat and co. loved it so much they've decided to give it the full Brainfeeder double vinyl treatment; on purple colored wax, natch. We first heard of OG Ron C back when he used to chop Drake's albums in record time, often putting them up for free download less than 24 hours after the album release. Drizzy embraced it in much the same way; now most OVO releases are trailed by an official Chopstars chopped-not-slopped version.
