Prayer flags promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The prayers inscribed on them protect you and all sentient beings from destructive evils and obstacles. Their images o f deities, mantras and prayers are believed to bring happiness, peace, prosperity, good fortune and health. Each flag is beautifully printed with a hand carved wood block using traditional methods. They come in the traditional colors of yellow, white, red, blue, and green. A large variety of prayers surround the center image of lungta, a Windhorse. Lungta is also the Tibetan word for prayer flag. Tibetans believe that the prayers and mantras will be blown upwards as an offering to their deities and will bring fortune, happiness, and good health to all who hang them.
