Features proportional smoke, proportional throttle and turret control, 270° turret rotation with optional 360° upgrade, metal barrel, metal torsion bar suspension, and your choice of airsoft BB or infrared firing. Ready to run out of the box. Plastic Edition - What This Means The Plastic Edition uses a plastic turret, hull, tracks, and wheels in place of the metal components found on the Full Metal Edition. The metal barrel, torsion bar suspension, and all electronics remain the same. This is the ideal entry point into Taigen RC tanks - same functions, lower price. Proportional Smoke Metal Barrel Torsion Bar Suspension 270° Turret Rotation 360° Kit Available Turret Elevation V3 Electronics Airsoft or Infrared RTR - Ready to Run ⚙️ What You Get 💨 Proportional Smoke Smoke output scales with throttle input - idle produces a light wisp, full throttle produces a heavy plume. Smoke fluid included. 🔄 270° Turret Rotation Full proportional turret control with 270° rotation and elevation included. Upgrade to a full 360° kit anytime - available separately. 🎯 Airsoft or Infrared Choose BB airsoft firing for outdoor combat or infrared for safe indoor tank battles with other compatible Taigen models. 🔩 Metal Barrel & Suspension Metal barrel and metal torsion bar suspension carry over from the full metal lineup - the key structural components remain premium. 📡 V3 Electronics Same advanced V3 board as the Metal Edition - compatible with most 6-channel hobby-grade transmitters and receivers. 🔦 LED Lighting Upper hull MG light and dual LED headlights included for realistic day and night operation. 🎖️ The Real Tank: WWII History When the Tiger 1 first appeared on the battlefield in 1942, it was unlike anything the Allies had encountered. Armed with the 8.8cm KwK 36 gun - a weapon originally designed to shoot down aircraft - it could destroy any Allied or Soviet tank at ranges where return fire was practically impossible. Weighing over 50 tons, its frontal armor was impervious to most weapons of the time. Over 1,300 Tiger 1s were produced between 1942 and 1944, and they fought on every major front - North Africa, the Eastern Front, Italy, and Normandy. The psychological effect on Allied crews was enormous; any encounter with a Tiger demanded extreme caution, and entire tank platoons would withdraw rather than engage one frontally. Despite mechanical challenges and heavy fuel consumption, the Tiger 1's legacy is undiminished. It remains the most recognized German tank of World War II and one of the most studied armored vehicles in history. The King Tiger that eventually replaced it was a direct evolution of everything the Tiger 1 established. 📋 Technical Specifications Specification Details Scale 1/16 Approximate Size 16.1 × 7 × 6.7 in (41 × 18 × 17 cm) Approximate Weight 10.4 lbs (4.7 kg) Gearboxes Zinc (3:1, Mid/Low, 48mm) Firing Unit Airsoft BB or Infrared (choose variant) Turret Plastic turret with metal barrel, 270° rotation (360° kit available) Turret Elevation Yes - proportional Upper Hull Plastic Lower Chassis Metal & plastic hybrid Suspension Metal torsion bar system Drive & Idler Wheels Plastic Road Wheels Plastic Tracks Plastic caterpillar tracks Battery 7.2V 2000mAh NiMH (included) Radio System 2.4GHz with V3 electronics Smoke Proportional (scales with throttle) Lighting Upper hull MG & dual LED headlights Want the Full Metal Experience?
