It is a mineral based simple tannage with a large amount of wax impregnated to give it a solid but natural feel, without compromising on the beauty of the leather grain, making it ideal for tiling purposes. It has been commercially made and used for the luxury high end interior design market as leather wall and floor tiles. They make for a decorative and hard wearing flooring, that long time wear and usage can even add to their appearance. They give a warmer feel under foot and are suitable for use with underfloor heating.
