Tillandsia intermedia is an unusual species native to coastal and low-elevation regions of Mexico, where it grows in warm, breezy environments often suspended from trees or rock fa ces. This species has a distinctive form, with narrow, flexible leaves emerging from a pseudobulbous base and twisting as they elongate. It often grows in a pendant or semi-upright fashion, making it ideal for hanging displays. The plant produces a tall, slender inflorescence with red to pink bracts and violet tubular flowers.
