Tilth's Grow mix is made from food scraps by Rust Belt Riders, Cleveland's very own composting co-op! For native plants, we generally recommend working with your native soil, free of amendments. But for food gardens, this is just the stuff for healthy plants and a bountiful harvest! Grow mix is perfect for outdoor raised beds or food garden plots. We use it to grow food and native plants in large containers, but it's not great for pots 5 gallons or less. This balanced, user-friendly soil is ideal for a wide range of applications because of its water management properties. Plants in Grow are difficult to over or underwater and the trace minerals provide ample nutrients to support root structure and development.
