Often mistaken for 'Time Begins,' the title of this sculpture 'Time Beings' is intentional. This abstract work explores our existence as human beings - how time moves through our l ives and how we, in turn, move through time. It reflects on our evolution and serves as a reminder that, at the core, we are all simply existing. A subtle nod to the phrase, ‘human beings, not human doings', this artwork invites contemplation on the nature of presence and transformation. Hand crafted using cherry wood. A combination of power and hand carving have been applied to achieve a naguri-esqe texture and the front and sides have been burnt using the yakisugi traditional Japanese technique. Finished with a brass logo. Hanging hardware is included.
