Precision Timing, Right Down to the Second The Time-R takes the concept of the plug-in timer and pushes it further by adding in a ton of extra functionality. You can program 'on' and 'off' times down to the second, in pretty much any conceivable pattern. This means that you can use it with an array of equipment, like water pumps and CO2 regulators. How the Time-R Works Most plug-in timers are relatively simple - they divide the day up into 15 minute segments, and you can then choose whether you want equipment switched on or off for each segment. This is great if you're controlling lighting schedules because light and dark periods typically last for multiple hours. However, some items of equipment require more precise timings than others. Water pumps, for instance, often need to be switched on for very short periods of time to achieve the best possible results.
