'Timeless Thresholds' celebrates the meeting of north Cornwall's ancient geological shores and deep waters, layered by time, earth-shaping events and human history. Hand-processed earth pigments create textural landscapes that speak of geological time and the eternal dialogue of the coast. This is an original mixed media painting - charcoal, hand made local earth pigment paint and acrylic on canvas. The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the Bude area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture. Paintings containing these natural materials literally have the land that inspired them in the artwork, bringing a real sense of the landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject. The painting is 61cm by 51cm and is supplied in an off-white float frame with fixings for wall hanging. Mixed media on canvas. Signed on the reverse with certificate of authenticity.
