The TinyBlack blackberry (*Rubusfruticosus 'Tiny Black') is an excellent choice for gardeners with limited space or those wanting to grow blackberries in pots or on a patio. This cultivar is markedly compact, significantly smaller than traditional blackberry bushes, making it ideal for containers or small garden plots. One of its standout features is that it is completely thornless, which makes harvesting far easier and safer. Fruit production begins early: the plant bears white flowers in spring (around April–May) and then develops shiny, juicy blackberries from mid-summer into early autumn (roughly July to September) in UK conditions. The berries are described as having a traditional blackberry flavour with a good balance of sweet and sour. The foliage is lush green in the growing season and may take on richer tones in autumn. The dwarf growth habit (height around 30-50 cm) and self-fertile nature make 'Tiny Black' particularly well suited for container cultivation, balcony gardens or smaller plots where space is at a premium.
