Set in the Dorian mode, Tirade, by Robert Sheldon, offers young musicians the opportunity to perform with passion and emotion to make a bold musical statement. Since there are no d otted rhythms, articulations, or 8th notes (other than in the percussion section), and using only the first five notes the students have learned, this is a perfect piece for a beginning bands first concert!
