The TK Audio DP2 is a two-channel mic preamp using a hybrid design including both vintage and modern circuit based on the SP501 500 series mic preamp. The TK Audio DP2 offers a choice between the germanium sound of the 60’s, the thick sound of British Class A preamps of the 1970’s or the modern tone of the 80’s and 90’s. It uses high quality Lundahl transformers at its core and high-gain input stage before hitting the selectable germanium circuit. This is followed by two different output stages, an electronically balanced stage or a discrete Carnhill transformer-balanced class A stage offering a choice between clean amplification or the warm, fat and punchy sound. The DP2 provides up to 80dB of gain making it ideal to use with ribbon microphones. Two high-impedance inputs are also included at the front to connect guitars, bass and synthesizers. It also includes a sweepable high-pass filter ranging between 30Hz to 400Hz. TK Audio DP2 Main Features: Lundahl-input transformer and Carnhill output transformer Selectable output stages, transformer balanced class-A or electronically balanced Selectable germanium circuit for extra harmonics Sweepable High Pass filter, 30Hz-400Hz, 12dB/oct High gain (up to 80dB) Hi-Z instrument input (2Mohm)
