Both the White and Black versions present a calm stance with their matte finish. Designer: Tatsumi Kato • Graduated from the Ministry of Education’s Industrial Arts Technical Training Institute in 1941. • In 1956, he studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts as a JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) scholar. • After graduating, he worked at Arabia, Finland, a renowned ceramics manufacturer, under the direction of Kaj Franck, until 1958. • Upon returning to Japan, he became a professor at Musashino Art University and contributed to the establishment of the Craft Center Japan. • His works, both as a designer and a ceramic artist, have left a lasting impact across various fields.
