The German made Conti TKC 70 is probably a 80% road, 20% off road application tyre. It is designed for light off road use in dry conditions and excellent street performance in all weather. The rear is a dual compound with softer compound rubber on the shoulders for more grip at lean angles and firmer center compound for long tread life. The tread pattern and compound mix is designed to be stable and grippy in all weather conditions. This tyre is quiet and very stable on road while still providing good off road performance. The TKC70 is now available (some sizes) in a new version called the "Rocks". AS you can imagine from its name it is designed for hard rocky terrain. Compared to the design of the TKC 70 rear tire, the Rocks version gets rid of the uninterrupted strip of rubber down the center in favor of a staggered lug arrangement with cutouts to give it improved off road grip.
