Finally a way to test to see if a carpet is polyester/olefin vs nylon. Why is this so important? Because polyester and olefin need specialized chemistry to break the oil bond. Add a couple drops of the tester to a fiber. If it's nylon, the fiber will dissolve in seconds. If it's polyester or olefin, the fiber will not dissolve. It's that easy.
