The Makeup Light (TML) - Starter Kit has been designed by US Photographer Michael Astalos after discovering the issues that Makeup Artists were faced with trying to find adequate light sources both on set and on location. Michaels wife is Oscar and Emmy award winning Makeup Artist Vivian Baker and he created TML specifically to meet her needs. Unlike other makeup lights, TML offers a full light spectrum whereas some other LED lights do not show the full colour range and only go as far as magenta so red is not seen which can be very problematic. TML throws the light from around 5 ft away evenly distributing it, filling the space and giving a very real and authentic view so that what you apply will stay true under any other lights. One of its many features is a built in dimmer switch allowing you to achieve five different settings from lowest to highest. When the light is switched on it will automatically be on the brightest setting and gently tapping the discreet dimmer switch will decrease the brightness by 20% with each tap. To switch off simply hold the dimmer switch for a little longer-approximately 2 seconds. Even on the highest setting the brightness is not too uncomfortable on the eyes and will not cause spots or flashes before the eyes.
