Tobrex is a ophthalmic antibiotic containing tobramycin, used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye and surrounding tissues. Tobramycin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, helping eliminate susceptible bacteria and reduce inflammation. Tobrex is commonly used for acute and chronic bacterial eye infections and for infection prevention following minor eye trauma or procedures.
