Description Tolyltriazole is a heterocyclic organic compound. It is a white to slightly yellowish powder and belongs to the triazole group. Tolyltriazole has similar applications to benzotriazole as a corrosion inhibitor for metals such as copper, zinc and iron. It forms a protective film on the metal surface that protects the metal from corrosion caused by moisture and aggressive environmental conditions. Tolyltriazole is also used as a component of refrigerant and antifreeze agents. In addition, it is used as an additive in the production of polymers and as a stabiliser for dyes and pigments.
