This innovative product features a dichroic coating on the diffuser that casts seven colours of light into the shade, creating an unprecedented visual effect. It easily replaces the standard diffuser. Inspired by the tinted lenses of sunglasses, Tom Dixon's use of the dichroic coating technique, which applies multiple colours to the glass surface to create a rainbow-like effect, also symbolises a challenging experiment to see how it can transform existing lighting. Designed for the Whirl and Melt pendants, the Dichroic Diffuser is a component that transforms the colour emitted from the integrated LED light source. This product is compatible with LARGE (50 cm) models only. It is not a light bulb. This item is an optional accessory intended to replace the standard diffuser and is designed to cover the light source.
