Solanum lycopersicum HEIRLOOM. The dark purple fruits have a smoky, complex flavor that is a favorite of many. Can grow medium to large, slightly flattened beefsteak-type of 8-14 o z. Originating from the Crimea region of Black Sea, now a part of the Ukraine. The color is a lovely purple and if it has a nice, long, hot season, will ripen to a much deeper, almost black color. Most fruit have the usual green shoulders. It is best eaten within a day or two of picking as they can go soft quickly. Indeterminate. 0.1 gram packet contains a minimum of 40 seeds. Show more
