Made entirely of Ilala palm leaves in rural Bulawayo, Zimbabwe by women of the Ndebele tribe, using a weaving tradition passed from one generation to the next. Women gather to weav e under the shade of large trees with their children playing nearby. No two are alike, so some come out flatter and some more robust. Because the shapes vary so widely, these are measured along the contour rather than as a straight L x W x H.
