Every year, humpback whales travel thousands of kilometres from Antarctica to the warm waters of Tonga. For one brief window, you can swim alongside them. Join award-winning underwater photographer Brooke Pyke for an intimate week built around one of the planet's most extraordinary wildlife encounters. Based in Vava'u, we'll head out each day by private boat with one of the region's most experienced whale operators, maximising our time on the water and our chances of meaningful encounters. Throughout the week, Brooke will guide you through her creative approach to underwater photography; how to move with intention, read the light, and make images that capture not just what you saw, but how it felt. Beyond the water, we'll explore Vava'u's coastline, from blue caves to remote beaches, and experience the warmth of the local Tongan community.
