The brand frankly made a lot of watches, and its less complicated offerings remain relatively accessible while still touting the high level of finishing and quality that the watch world has come to expect from Omega. Today's example dates to the early 1970s and offers exactly what we love from Omegas in this period. In numbers that continue to amaze us, Omega offered the market a simple, reliable, and timelessly designed watch over and over again in the 1960s and 1970s. Since 1931, one of Omega's mottos has been, "Omega – Exact time for life," and while there are so many great examples of that coming to fruition, few are better than this watch we have here today. The case is strong with scratches and appears to have been polished. The bottom of the lugs have scratches from strap changing over the years. There are scratches on the caseback from a removal attempt. The dial is in good condition with some patina throughout. The handset has developed patina. The lume in the hands and on the dial has developed patina and aged to a nice creamy color. The crystal has some scratches. The dial, case, crown, crystal, and movement are all signed by Omega. This watch was photographed on a 175mm/6.9inch wrist.
