Toothache is a twice-yearly food magazine for chefs, by chefs. It's handsomely photographed, and refreshingly not obsessed with names you see all over social media. This issue cont ains work by and features about chefs from around the world, but the American South is definitely well-represented in this issue. From the South: both Julia Sullivan and Caitlyn Jarvis of Henrietta Red in Nashville, in separate pieces; Ryan and Matthew Poli from The Catbird Seat, also in Nashville; Nina Compton of Compère Lapin in New Orleans; Zach Meloy of Better Half in Atlanta; Justin Yu of Theodore Rex in Austin, Tavel Bristol-Joseph of Emmer and Rye, also in Austin.
