I’ve been using metal handles in my struck tools for years, but always made ones for customers with wooden handles inserted. I’ve used these extensively in over 15 years of blacksmithing teaching at Nait here in Edmonton. A shattered wooden handle from an errant blow means that the tool is out of commission until I can replace the handle. These are back in the game as soon as you bend them into alignment . The heads are forged and heat treated 4140 alloy. Soft on the struck side and hard on the contact surface. I've listed the most popular sizes. If you would like a different size just ask.
