One-of-a-kind original artwork, painted with mixed media on archival watercolour paperSize: 420 x 297 cm (approx. A3) This work is from my show ‘Big Moon Narna’ or ‘Big Moon Sleeps’, a collection of paintings and drawings encompassing both my landscape and character-based works. Exploring the narrative of our human connection with the sun, moon and stars. A kind of magic – it seems – when viewed through the eyes of my two-year-old son. This work forms part of my series of character-based works which draw from nostalgia and employ a style that I have fostered throughout my 30-year career as an artist. They’re often inspired by pop culture icons that have been a part of my life journey, from childhood through adulthood and now, in becoming a father.
