"For our Top Hats we only use real old burlap sacks, which back in the days have been used as a carrier for ferti lizer, peanuts, bird food or coffee beans. But unlike coffee bags nowadays, these old sacks were woven much tighter & often have scars or patches from the heavy usage." It’s not only strengthening the hat itself, but also gives you the option to shape the brim as you like! Our hats are super sturdy, you can wash them and sit on them if you please. like a good shoe they get better with age. You can make a hat easily slightly smaller, but not bigger! Use a flexible measuring tape as is customary for sewing. You can, however, also use a piece of twine and then measure it with a ruler.Fix the front end of the measuring tape in the middle of the forehead, just below the hairline.
