New MARINE Top Mount 14" Starter (new style permanent magnet, aluminum mount) Replaces the old iron end bearing support type. For NORMAL ROTATION Engines as used in All American Sk iers and most ski boats using a top mount starter. (2 Bolt mount is 4.125" apart) (9 tooth starter gear)If your starter is located alongside the oil pan and enters the bellhousing from the front, you have a Bottom Mount StarterIf your starter is between or under the exhaust pipes, above the transmission, and enters the bellhousing from the rear of the engine you have a TOP MOUNT Starter.
