The 2000-05 MR2 Spyder came from the factory with a stock header containing two precats. Not only are these pretty restrictive but they also tend to degrade over time and as early as 40k miles into their life they may be disintegrating, shedding ceramic dust into the engine. This has been the cause of oil consumption and ultimately rod bearing failure for too many MR2-S owners to count. Get rid of those pre-cats before it’s too late! – 100% TIG welded 304 Stainless Steel – New gaskets included – Better bends and elimination of precats means more power – Direct replacement for factory header. Even has mounts for stock heat shield! – Much lighter than stock *Note* If using with stock catpipe, some trimming/grinding on the pipe ends at the flange will be required.
