The AV1 last was developed at the request of So iLL’s distributors in Asia to better accommodate common foot shapes among Asian climbers. Torque AV1 is built on an alternative volume 1 (AV1) last with additional volume along the lateral edge of the toe box for a more accommodating forefoot fit, along with reduced heel volume and a narrower heel compared to Torque RV. Torque AV1 is designed for climbers whose foot shape pairs a lower-volume, narrower heel with a forefoot that needs a little more room along the outside. TL;DR - Torque AV1 has more room towards the outside of the toes and a lower-volume, narrower heel.
