If you’ve not tried Torrontes before, you’re in for a treat. It’s a really distinctive grape - highly aromatic and flavourful, lots of floral and tropical flavours. What makes this particular Torrentes so interesting is the altitude where the grapes are grown. At over 2,000m, Cafayate is one of the highest wine growing regions in the world. Cool nights, but the days are hot, allowing the grapes the fully ripen, but retain a high level of acidity. The result is a super flavourful and impactful wine - full of jasmine, peaches and orange blossom, but fresh, zingy and lively as well. Why we chose it Cafayate is an all time favourite wine region, and this is a fab example of just how good Torrontes from the region can be. A wine to raise eyebrows and expectations...yes please!
