Set against the backdrop of the Ancient World, the game unfolds between 400 BC and 50 BC, immersing players in the intense struggle for control of the Mediterranean. In a single session lasting under three hours, you'll need to strategically balance military might with economic growth to climb the victory point ladder and assert your supremacy. Each faction reflects its historic legacy: Rome, the powerhouse of antiquity, governed a vast empire for over seven centuries, rising from a republic to imperial greatness. Carthage, the pearl of North Africa, challenged Rome's power through the genius of Hannibal before falling during the Second Punic War (218–202 BC).
