Red clay with Stoneware glaze and oxide, steel rod on Scottish whinstone. These two forms have been interlocked and fused together with glaze during the firing process. There are t wo steel rods, as seen from the back, that have been drilled into the stone. The ceramic piece is securely propped against these two rods from the inside. It came be easily lifted off and packaged separately for shipping.
