The Toyonaga distillery is located in Kumamoto Prefecture in the Kuma Basin, which is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is also the source of the Kuma River. Kuma-Shochu was awarded the geographical indication (GI) in 1995. On the nose fruity, floral, reminiscent of elegant Ginjo sake. On the palate sweetness, rice umami and herbaceous notes emerge.
