Flute Concerto (Flute and Piano) By Peter Senchuk, Published By Forest Glade Music. Originally for Flute and Wind Ensemble. Senchuk's Flute Concerto was commissioned by Texas Woman ’s University in 2018 as a tribute to a flute pedagogue and professional, Dr. Pamela Youngblood. The concerto is in a standard three-movement form, with the first and third movements acting as fast, virtuosity bookends to the much more gentle and lyrical second movement. The first movement opens with an extended cadenza for the flute before transitioning to an energetic up-tempo dance, featuring long melodic lines for the soloist.
