The TP-50V3 is intended to protect your tweeters from electronic component failure, DSP software glitches or failures and erroneous crossover settings. The TP-50V3 will attenuate l ow frequency content from the amplifier and is only active below the crossover you implement in the DSP or the amplifier. The TP-50V3 will not protect against too much power above the crossover caused by bad gain setting procedure, or from the additional power at high frequencies contained in a severely clipped signal from a system component. The TP-50V3 will not cause "phase issues" because it is only active far below the crossover.
