I never liked tops with a mandarin collar, centre opening, and frog buttons. I thought that look is too strongly associated with a 店小二 (waiter). When the Adidas Chinese jackets bec ame popular not that long ago, I gave it another thought. Softening the look by removing the shoulder seam and pairing it with soft red gingham, I think this Chinese jacket is something I can live with. Before we opened our first shop, I tested the market with 100 cheongsams and tops for sale in December 2005.
