Fiberglass reinforced polyesters (F.R.P.) were introduced as structural components of water cooling towers about twenty-five years ago. For the first five to ten years, most of tho se uses were rather limited and somewhat experimental, however, some of those initial efforts have become standard applications today. In those subsequent years many new products incorporating new technologies and more sophisticated raw materials have emerged.
