Organic-zinc and Chromate-zinc programs specifically designed for alkaline pH cooling waters have been developed. The treatment provides excellent corrosion and scale control over a broad range of water chemistries and is applicable to high conductivity and iron-contaminated waters. Low levels of zinc are used to reduce the dependency on alkalinity and calcium carbonate super saturation for corrosion control. The precipitation and fouling problems previously encountered with zinc containing treatments have been eliminated by the use of polymeric dispersants. Show more
