Tradibat 85 Lafarge is the world’s leading producer of Premium Natural Hydraulic Lime, having begun its operations in France’s siliceous-rich Ardèche Valley in 1833. Tradibat 85 ™ is a hydraulic lime (HL5) prompt mortar of NHL3.5, but with 20% of the content replaced with grey cement therefore making it HL5. The name ‘prompt mortar’ refers to the characteristic of being very quick to set, and prompt mortars traditionally used in conservation works or on older buildings. Tradibat 85 is made from hydraulic lime, grey cement and lubricants, and is suitable for various applications including pointing and rendering, as a plaster undercoat, and on masonry of hard stones and roofing.
