Use ghee in place of butter, oils and spreads for a healthy and delicious alternative. Shelf life: Consume within 12 months of opening and store in a dark place; refrigeration is not necessary. Melting or separation of ghee is natural. Allergen information: Contains dairy. However, the traditional process of making ghee (extra clarified butter) entails heating so that the milk solids (lactose + casein) are not just separated, but caramelized and removed.
