Not only iconic to Palestinian heritage, the Traditional Red & White Kufiyah also holds a rich history in the region. Originally worn by Bedouins of the Levant and North Arabian deserts, the kufiyah was inspired by the colours of the Arabian desert sands. Also known as the “Jordanian” Kufiyah and commonly worn in many other arab regions, the Red & White Kufiyah gained significance in the Palestinian fight for liberation since being adapted in various traditional clothing and popularized by cult icons. Crafted showcasing the tighter fishnet, olive leaves, and bold lines on a white base, the traditional pattern and colour combo is a beautiful ode to timelessness. All 4 edges (hadhab) and corners are decorated with either tassels or knotted for an exquisite and distinct style. Made from a blend of softer cotton and high quality synthetic, the Traditional Red & White Kufiyah measures approximately 122 x 122 cm (48” x 48”).
