These traditional vertical prayer flags are called dar-cho. A dar-cho is the large banner flown from a pole that is found outside temple gates or on the roof. Dar-cho are made by Nepali Buddhists using cotton fabric usually block printed and cut into squares. This flagset bears five different designs printed on the five Buddha colour cotton fabric, all sewn onto a single flag set. The finely sewn border and the five streamers add to this flag set and ready for tying on a pole.
