Zach Nedwell spent years as a commercial fisherman, dragging for groundfish out of Boston. The work was relentless with three days straight without sleep, driving between ports, ha uling thousands of fish across the deck. In that exhausted, altered state, something shifted. Driving back home to Portland from Boston the visuals of people and traffic changed. Schooling, surging, cutting across each other in patterns that mirrored the way fish move through the world without ever realizing it. Traffic is what he saw underwater and above it.
