Training Cloud – Simulated Altitude Training System Train at simulated altitude without leaving home. The Box Altitude Training Cloud creates a controlled hypoxic training environment around your treadmill, indoor bike, rowing machine or other training equipment. Designed for endurance athletes, coaches and performance facilities, the Training Cloud makes it possible to incorporate structured simulated altitude training into a normal training program without travelling to the mountains. Add simulated altitude to your indoor training At simulated altitude, the percentage of oxygen available to the body is reduced to replicate the conditions experienced at elevation. This allows athletes to introduce controlled hypoxic training into selected sessions and progressively adjust altitude, exercise intensity and exposure duration according to their training objectives. Simulated altitude training may be incorporated into programs focused on: Aerobic and endurance conditioning Preparation for racing or competing at altitude Altitude acclimatisation before travel Live High, Train Low protocols Adding an additional environmental stimulus to indoor training Individual responses to hypoxic training vary according to altitude, intensity, exposure time, training history and physiology. The Training Cloud gives athletes and coaches precise control over the training environment so altitude can be introduced progressively. Compatible with your indoor training equipment The Training Cloud features a spacious, full-height four-poster enclosure designed to accommodate most common indoor training equipment, including: Indoor bikes and smart trainers Treadmills Rowing machines and Ergs Ski Ergs Strength and conditioning equipment Its 2.3-metre height provides room to move naturally while training and makes it suitable for both home gyms and professional performance environments. App-controlled simulated altitude Choose your target altitude through the Box Altitude App® and the system will automatically work towards the selected simulated elevation. The Box Altitude Sensor® continuously monitors oxygen concentration inside the Training Cloud and communicates with the altitude generator to help maintain a controlled hypoxic environment throughout the session. Athletes can begin at a conservative altitude and progressively adjust the environment as they become accustomed to exercising in reduced oxygen. Choose between the F10 and F20 Altitude Generator® The Training Cloud is available with either the F10 or F20 Altitude Generator®. Both systems are designed to provide hypoxic air to the Training Cloud. The higher-output F20 is capable of reaching the selected altitude more quickly and restoring the target environment faster after the enclosure has been opened during a training session. Our team can help determine which altitude generator is most appropriate for your training environment, equipment and intended use. Altitude sessions can be recorded alongside metrics such as SpO₂, heart rate, HRV, sleep, training data and blood markers including iron status, giving athletes and coaches a clearer picture of how the body is responding to altitude over time. For coaches, Oxygen Coach provides oversight of an athlete’s accumulated altitude exposure and physiological data, helping altitude training become part of the broader training and recovery program rather than a standalone intervention. Explore Oxygen Coach Download Oxygen Coach on the App Store Selecting your simulated training altitude There is no single altitude setting that is appropriate for every athlete or every training session. The appropriate simulated altitude depends on factors including: Training experience Exercise intensity Session duration Altitude-training history Individual response to hypoxia Training and competition objectives We recommend beginning conservatively and reducing normal sea-level training intensity where appropriate while adapting to the hypoxic environment. Altitude can then be increased progressively as experience and tolerance develop. Stop exercising if you experience unusual dizziness, chest discomfort or other concerning symptoms. People with medical conditions or concerns about exercising in reduced oxygen should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before commencing hypoxic training.
